In diesem Haus verbrachte ich die ersten 10 Jahre meiner Kindheit, auf dem Lammweg 5.
My name is Monika and I was born in 1960 in the beautiful Upper Lusatia, at Ebersbach.
For the first 10 years of my childhood I lived at Neusalza-Spremberg and after that at Ebersbach, in the town where I was born. Later I moved to Grossschönau.
In 1989 I moved to Munich, where I lived for 6 years, then I lived in Freudenstadt – Schwarzwald for 3 years. In the end of 1997 I made the decision to return to my homeplace, to Upper Lusatia. I lived again in Grossschönau, where I had my own restaurant for 8 years.
In 2005 it was time to change my life and to take a new start in Finland. I moved to Helsinki, where I`m living with my finnish partner Ilpo. I`m at work already for 3 years at Amiedu, a school for adults. We use to fly every year a couple of times for holiday to Germany and of course also for visiting my homeplace, family and friends.
Now I got the idea of creating an own website about my homeplace Oberlausitz and I think it is a very good time also for me to explain, that I will never forget my home and inside me there is still a big love for this region. I will also show, how beautiful this area of Germany is and how nice it can be to go there for a holiday. I really enjoy living in Helsinki, but it is always very nice to be for a short time in a year at home again.
Nimeni on Monika ja olen syntynyt 1960 Ebersbachissa, Oberlausitzissa. Lapsuuteni ensimmäiset 10 vuotta asuin Neusalza-Sprembergissä ja sen jälkeen Ebersbachissa, missä olen syntynyt. Myöhemmin muutin Grossschönauhun. 1989 muutin Müncheniin, missä asuin noin 6 vuotta, ja sen jälkeen noin 3 vuotta Freudenstadtissa – Schwarwaldissa, Mustassametsässä. Vuoden 1997:n lopussa tein ratkaisuni palata takaisin kotiseudulleni Oberlausitziin. Minulla oli noin 8 vuotta oma ravintola Grosschönaussa. Vuonna 2005 tein ison ison ratkaisun ja aloitin elämäni uudestaan muuttamalla Suomeen, missä olen asunut minun suomalaisen avomieheni Ilpon kanssa.
Me lennämme joka vuosi 2-3 kertaa Saksaan lomalle ja tietysti menemme aina vierailemaan perheeni ja ystävieni luo Oberlausitzissa.
Mutta nyt olen saanut idean laatia uuden internet-sivun omasta kotisuedustani ja haluan näyttää kuinka kaunis alue on ja kuinka mukavaa on mennä lomalle Oberlausitziin. Haluan myös kertoa internet-sivullani, että en ole lainkaan unohtanut kotiseutuani.
Asun hyvin mielelläni Helsingissä, mutta on aina kiva mennä lomalle kotiseudulle.
